Running Two Up on a Heidi 10 x 15 Windmill

There is little doubt the Heidelberg Windmill is the most versatile Printing machines ever produced. There are so many thing it can do that we over look it's full capabilities. Running multiple (2) up is interesting, fun and can add to your income by charging double.

Try it!  In the extra stuff that came with your press you will find a center post that mounts in the center splitting the sheet separator and secures a the base. From this point place a lift of your job, preferably the same product, on each side of the separator and set the outside guides and a back stop on each stack. You can only use this function on "No Gauges" setting. The gripper arm will take a piece from each lift and hold it through the processing cycle and deposit them in the delivery tray. Lock up is rather simple if you work from the center mark on you chase and leave a space in the center to allow for the lift separator. You will have to change you lockup to alter position because with the center post in place you've lost the ability to move the stack left or right. You don't always need to use the center separator in the delivery side.
